When the Steyls chose to celebrate their 20th wedding anniversary, they wanted something simple, meaningful, and true to who they are. No fuss. No performance. Just a moment to pause and honour the life they’ve built together.
We met outdoors — surrounded by open space, soft light, and the calm energy that nature brings. It felt fitting. After two decades together, their connection didn’t need direction. It existed naturally, in the way they walked side by side, in shared glances, and in the ease of being completely at home with one another.
Of course, no chapter of their story would be complete without their two rescue dogs, whom they welcomed into their lives five years ago. These dogs aren’t just companions — they are family. Their presence added warmth, playfulness, and grounding to the shoot, a beautiful reflection of the Steyls’ compassion and the life they’ve created together.
Watching them move through the space — dogs included — was a reminder that love expands. It shows up in how we care, how we choose kindness, and how we open our hearts not only to each other, but to the animals who walk alongside us.
