Our last booking for 2020 was from a beautiful family, the Louws. This year, we end our year again with this wonderful family, only this time, with a new furbaby!
As our year draws to a close, the mailboxes became quiet and the phones stopped ringing, we started to count our blessings and one more message came through. It was Sian and she wanted to book another shoot! From our last experience with this family, we could not say no! We settled on a date and waited patiently for the date to arrive.
The morning we got together, it was a bit cool, soft clouds in the sky and the lawn, covered in dew drops. We were very excited to meet the new addition to their family. His name is Thor, a beautiful Schnauzer boy with the cutest curls. The kids absolutely love Thorzie and he struts around proudly with them in tow. It brings joy to our hearts when we see humans care so much for then four legged family.
Our session started with some lovely family photos in our favourite ‘studio’. We churned out one photo after the next, making sure we covered our bases and having much fun in the process. We tried some updated versions of older family photos, now with children who are really blossoming in their teenage years. Along with these, there was also some great exercise to be had with the family jump photo where timing is everything. Our Nikon can keep up but there are more elements that make the photo and I’m happy to say the I think we absolutely nailed that pic.
We hope to see the Louw’s soon again so we can capture some tight shots with Connor and his new horse. Maybe we can work in some action shots with him riding… nudge, nudge, wink, wink.
